A Natural Sinus Remedy

Last week, I developed a nasty sinus cold the day before we were due to go pick up LM. I could tell from the beginning it was gonna be a doozy and I was right. I had such a bad sinus headache, I called in sick to work which I hardly ever do. I was dreading the two hour drive. Tried meds, no relief. Went to my chiropractor, which usually helps a lot, no dice. Mac knew I was getting desperate so he found a natural concoction to relieve my headache.



Eight ounces hot water, two tablespoons honey, and two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. "Mix and enjoy!" said the online reviewer. I just mixed and gagged. It was vile. I think the worst part of it was the fact that it was warm. The only warm drink I drink is hot chocolate. It took about ten minutes and some words of inspiration from Mac and I finally got it all down. Hopped in the car and away we went.

Mac tried to distract me for most of the ride up to my parent's house so I was surprised when an hour into the trip he asked me how I was feeling. Holy cupcakes, that shit actually worked. Not immediately but an hour after choking that crap down, my headache was gone. So if you're so desperate to relieve a headache you want to drink warm salad dressing, give it a shot.

*Note: I'm writing this while hopped up on Mucinex, which helps my cough and also makes me feel woozy. Like two-glasses-of-wine woozy. It's very strange. I could probably keep my Mucinex in a paper bag or something but I'm way classier than that....I hope.
