Christmas 2012 Recap

I was so excited for this Christmas for many reasons. First, I love Christmas.  The music, the decorations, the food....I can't get enough.  Second, this year Sully would actually be able to participate! Last year he played with boxes and generally didn't care but I knew this year would be more fun.  And third, the whole family was getting together this year. I've missed the last two Christmas mornings due to being pregnant and on bed rest in 2010 then being on call last year.  And my sister was bringing home her boyfriend Brad for the first time to meet the whole family.  And yes we say "family" like we're in the mafia.  Obviously Brad has hung out with us and my parents several times but the whole group of aunts, uncles, and cousins can be a bit overwhelming for someone the first time.  There's a lot of us.

Steph and Brad got Sullivan a dinosaur indoor tent which was a huge hit for all people, both big and small.  Brad also happens to be one of Sully's most favorite people in the whole wide world.

After that excitement died down, Brad gave Steph a tiny blue box with a very large grin.

And it is a gorgeous ring! Absolutely gorgeous!

My Little Man made out like a bandit in Christmas presents, especially in regards to Cars. Seriously, we had to get rid of a few of his other ones to make room for his new collection.  Mac and I also learned that we should have given him his other presents first THEN the cars.  Once he had his new Finn McMissile in his little hands, he could have cared less about what else was under the tree.

We had so much fun this year but I definitely needed a nap when we got home.  Steph has given me permission to start planning her wedding so Pinterest and I are even closer than before, if it is even possible.  Welcome to the family Brad! I couldn't have picked anyone better for my baby sister.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

    1. Rachel, she does live in Denver! I expect to make many trips to your neck of the woods in the next two years to help her get stuff planned.
