Our New Nighttime Routine

Recently our bedtime routine has changed.  In the past we do bath, pjs, books with quiet music then bed.  The past few nights it's gone bath, chasing naked baby around the crib, wrestle into pjs, dance party then bed.  I don't know if this is helping him burn off some extra energy or what but he seems to really like it.  I always have music playing while we're in his room in the evening.  Tends to run towards Mumford & Sons, MGMT, The Young Dubliners, OAR, Youngblood Hawke, etc.  Kinda dancy but not super high energy songs and fun to dance to.  He's so excited about it now he starts dancing in the bath and while I'm getting him dried off.  That's fun, let me tell you, trying to wrestle with a slippery toddler who is convinced he's in Fame, but I love that he loves music and loves to dance.  It just makes me so happy to see him like this.  And I finally caught it on my phone.  Lucky you! You also get to see my husband dance around....well sorta.  I guess I should be thankful he's not dancing like Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.  Please look that up if you don't know what I'm talking about.  Then pass me some wine because I feel damn old.
